The SB 3320 provides three functions. Line
Fault, PA Fault and Fire Break.
The Line Fault function constantly
measures the loudspeaker line impedance
and checks for short circuit between the
two conductors, interruption of the
speaker line and short circuit between the
speaker line and earth.
The PA Fault function is used to monitor
the operation of the zone power amplifier
and will, upon detection of any
malfunction, report to the CP 3100 central
processor and, if configured, activate and
insert a backup power amplifier.
The Fire Break function allows for non RX
3000, external controlled alarm signals to
use the zone amplifier with absolute
priority overriding all RX 3000 pre
defined configurations for that
zone.
Install
Location
The RB 3300, SB 3320, and LB 3340 control
boards can also be used independently from
the RX 3000 system, with the same basic
functions (amplifier-line diagnosis,
automatic switch-on of the emergency
amplifier, control of the ambient
signal/noise ratio). Any emergency
condition can be signalled from a distance
using the specific output
command.
